Print of an original watercolor painting depicting a tiny boy tearing into a watermelon slice. The older kids were having a watermelon eating contest at the 4th of July picnic, and he was not to be denied. His enthusiasm was contagious and I just had to paint him, mirroring that energy with the splashes of color.
About Marguerite Chadwick-Juner
Marguerite Chadwick-Juner is a native of City Island in the Bronx where she lived and worked until a recent move to North Carolina. She attended the High School of Art & Design in NYC and got her B.F.A. from Cooper Union, also in NYC. Her works are executed, for the most part, in either watercolors for their pure, luminescent coloror a unique multi-media technique utilizing acrylics, gel medium and artist's crayons for their rich, textural qualities.
